WXXX CONCERT ANNOUNCEMENT POLICY

WXXX encourages concerts by national and local groups by providing announcements on the air promoting the concerts. Concerts should be of interest to our audience. The announcements are made on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage affordable ticket prices for our listeners by not charging for our service. We see concerts as a ministry to the community, underscoring our mission of “Ministry First.”

AREAS OF ON AIR COVERAGE

WXXX will run announcements of either 30- or 60-second length. The announcements can be produced in-house, or by an outside agency. WXXX reserves the right to modify or reject any announcement.

GUIDELINES FOR ALL  PROMOTERS

·        WXXX requests inclusion on promotional items for any concert we promote. We also request stage time as Masters-of-Ceremonies for any event we promote.

·        WXXX prefers exclusivity in promotion. We do reserve the right to co-promote concerts and events with other radio stations.

·        Tickets given to WXXX for giveaways on-air should be promotional and have no cash value.

·        WXXX encourages all promoters to arrange for on-air artist interviews, however that task is left to the promoter.

·        WXXX is not responsible for lack of ticket sales. We will help any way we can, but ultimately the sales of concert tickets is up to the promoter.

·        WXXX has no monetary budget for underwriting concerts, therefore, WXXX only rarely finances concerts by promoting them ourselves. However, when we do, care will be taken to make sure no other promoter is slighted. Please note that WXXX’s own concerts will take priority over any other promotion.

FOR-PROFIT PROMOTERS

·        WXXX cannot receive remuneration of any kind from a for-profit business. For-profit businesses are allowed to donate to WXXX, but the donation cannot be construed as payment for promotion.

NON-PROFIT PROMOTERS

·        WXXX does not charge for announcements of any type for non-profit organizations. Of course, donations are allowed, but cannot be construed as payment for promotion.
