Quiz the Diz Introductory Podcast
Over the years, I have had many questions that have been fun to answer for people. Some have been from experience, some from study and some from the people themselves. In this podcast, I will spend 10-15 minutes a week exploring people’s questions and the insight God allows me to bring.
When do we Reach Zero Risk?
When do we reach zero risk? I’ve been thinking and praying about that, and had an interesting discussion with a couple of friends about this the other night.
The Lord showed me something over the weekend as a more familiar and pronounced analogy: Continue reading When do we Reach Zero Risk?

3 Keys to Great Radio
What are the keys to great radio? I believe there are three. This first came up in a discussion had at Gospel Music Week sometime in the mid 2000s. Eric Rhodes, publisher of Radio Ink, was leading an open-mic discussion on the future of radio. Continue reading 3 Keys to Great Radio
How Much is Enough?
I received this question from a good friend the other day. It’s not uncommon to have these questions and I thought you might like to see my answer.
I have edited the response to protect his identity. Here is a bit of background. We have known each other for several years, and at one time he was making a very good income in his field. His children are now grown and out of the house.
His Question:
Where in the bible does it speak of biblical responsibilities of husbands and wives? We’re still struggling financially and my wife is frustrated that perhaps I am not doing all I should to “provide” for my family. I work 40-50 hours a week @$12 an hour at my job. It isn’t enough for us to survive and we’re hurting. My wife believes that it my job as husband and provider to deal with this and other financial obligations we both have made Continue reading How Much is Enough?
What’s in YOUR dash?
This post originally was published as an article called “The End of the Road for Radio in your Car?” on www.hisair.net

Another week, another brand-new(ish) car. Such is the life of the traveler. For the last ten years, I have made my living travelling the country working with various businesses in helping them find money. For radio stations, it’s vision and fund-raising. For car dealerships it’s finding money in their rebate processes. For every business in 27 states, it’s saving money on gas and electric bills. I am on the road a lot. And because of that, I wanted to make some observations about in-car entertainment.
Recently, Eric Rhodes of RadioINK (www.radioink.com) caused quite a stir when he talked about a conversation regarding in-dash entertainment. Continue reading What’s in YOUR dash?
Don’t be a Blockbuster!
I am travelling this week and marvelling at the ubiquity and ease of use of Netflix. I can watch the rest of a movie I started at home on my laptop here in Renton, Washington. I can remember the days of “be kind, please rewind” being a part of the home entertainment experience, and if I wanted to watch a movie on the road, I would either have to bring the tape with me or go to a nearby Blockbuster to rent the same movie. I never did that. It made me think about how things are changing for Blockbuster and how they are in danger of staying the same for Christian radio. Continue reading Don’t be a Blockbuster!
