Finding Passion in Your Life
Passion is something we usually associate with physical interaction with another person, but in reality, it is where joy can be rooted in our lives.
In this week’s episode, we explore the origin of the passion I have for radio and speaking and determine how that has played out for me. Next week: how it can work for you!
How We Start our Day
Nay and I will be married 40 years on the 20th of July, and we learned long ago to speak blessings over each other every day. In the podcast this week, these are the items I shared:
Blessings
- I am blessed with God’s supernatural wisdom.
- I am blessed with an obedient heart and with a positive outlook on life.
- I declare that any curse that has ever been spoken over me, any negative evil word that has ever come against me, is broken right now, in the name of Jesus.
- I am blessed with a strong will and with self-control and self-discipline.
- I am blessed with success, with supernatural strength, with promotion, and divine protection.
- I am blessed with creativity, with courage, with ability and with abundance.
- I am blessed with a great marriage, a great family, with good friends, with good health, and with faith, favor, and fulfillment.
- I am blessed in the city. I am blessed in the country. I am blessed when I go in. I am blessed when I come out.
- I declare that everything I put my hands to do work out for my good and for God’s glory.
- I declare that I am blessed!
Proverbs 22:29
Do you see a man who is skilled in his work? He will not stand before unknown men, but before Kings and Princes
Psalm 100
A psalm. For giving grateful praise.
1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
3 Know that the Lord is God.
It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations. (From Bible Gateway)
When Did You Learn to Fear?
I think we don’t have to learn to fear, but we learn who and what to fear all the time. Is is a conspiracy or just the way we are because of the fall of Adam and Eve?
Our scripture reference is Isaiah 8:12, “Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’ concerning all this people call a conspiracy, Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.”
Ask and You Get, Don’t and You Won’t
Lessons from Mark 11:24 and my friend Tom Kennedy about how to receive what you ask for.
Leadership Lessons from a Greyhound Driver
My dad, LB Dismore, was a Greyhound Bus driver for over 30 years. I learned a lot of things riding with him, but three leadership thoughts come to mind on this week’s podcast.
Riding with him taught me looking the part, perspective and that there’s only one bus driver.
Are you an Heir or a Debtor?
It took five firings in seven years…three in one year alone…to learn this very helpful lesson
Is God Trying to Teach You Something?
Of course, the answer is “yes”, but there is more to learning from Him than meets the eye. How does He do it and how should we learn? That’s the discussion on this week’s podcast.
Why Do I Hold the Door Open for My Wife?
First of all, I value her and second, it’s common courtesy. This week we discuss what’s not so common about courtesy and what to do about it. Let’s all be nice to each other!
